The Benefits of Home Summer Gym

As we head into lighter months (finally!) and thoughts start to stray to where we’re going on holiday this year…the next thought is usually about getting into a new exercise regime! Heading back to the gym can be daunting, especially if it’s not really your scene or you don’t enjoy it. Well, look no further than your own home gym.

Putting together a gym or exercise space that works for you can have a drastic impact on your general health and wellbeing, physical and mental. It shouldn’t be a binary decision about either joining a gym or not to get fit, so why not look into ways to bring the gym to your doorstep.

It’s Yours!

No more awkward dithering around the exercise machine that you came specifically to use at the gym or worrying about other people watching you while you work-out, with a home garden room gym, it’s all yours. This means that you’ve got that element of privacy that can actually spur you on to work harder and get the most out of your sessions.

You can also make an investment in exactly the type of equipment you want, instead of joining a gym and only using a select few pieces of equipment. You can build a gym with the specifications you want, the type of equipment and it’ll always be in the position you left it in.

And hey, no closing times and always accessible.

Adapting

You might not want to use up all of the space in your gym for equipment either, or you might at certain times of the year. The beauty of your own home garden room gym is that you can decide exactly what you want to use the space for and when. You could make more space at certain times for exercising like yoga or Zumba etc.

An out-of-the-box idea could be that you keep an office space next to your gym, so when things get stressful or you need to unwind, you can hit the gym to think about things and get those endorphins pumping, then back to work. There’s no way you could do that in a normal gym!

Close to Home

You’re literally so close to home that it couldn’t be more convenient to start exercising again. Especially in colder months of the year when it feels difficult to get out of bed as it is, you now only have to walk a few metres before you can get exercising over with as quickly as possible, which is great if you don’t enjoy it that much. It’s much more appealing that having to think about packing and unpacking your bags and the time it takes to get to the gym and back – this makes it a much easier and simplified activity.
