Timber Extension

Our friendly client in Guernsey approached us as he’d noticed we had installed on the ireland previously. The customer required a timber build with a render finish, after planning permission was granted we shipped all materials from us here in UK across via haulier, our team followed via ferry. Our team of fitters worked continually for 12 days to manufacture this stunning timber extension. The building was manufactured with SIP panels for insulation and structure. Externally the building was completed with a rendered finish to match the exsisitng house. Aluminium white doors fitted to the front of the extension with aluminium double doors to the rear. A glass lantern roof installed giving plenty of natural sun light. Internally the extension was plasterboard skim finish, the flooring fitted was commercial grade laminate. Our electrical package consists of LED down lights, power sockets and under floor heating. A stunning finish to a stunning home.

The timeframe for the build was also very quick. We accepted the quote, but felt a little doubtful that they could get the crew to Guernsey and complete the project in the timeframe and within budget. However we were certainly proved wrong. Craig and Ian worked through some of the worst weather we have seen on the island and completed a superb garden room which is now a key feature of our house. It is a large room at 35m2 with 4m stacker doors – but wonderfully warm due to great insulation and a heated floor. We also have a large glass roof lantern so the room is flooded with light.

I would not hesitate to recommend Bridge Timber and plan to have them return in 2017 to complete another project here in Guernsey!”
